Peer Review Process
The Journal of Business, Accounting, and Information Technology (JBAIT) employs a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, validity, and academic integrity of its published articles. Throughout the review process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential.
1. Initial Screening
All submitted manuscripts are first evaluated by the editorial team to assess their suitability with the journal’s scope, originality, and compliance with the journal’s submission guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet these basic requirements may be rejected without external review.
2. Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the field of business, accounting, or information technology. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on its originality, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, theoretical contribution, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
3. Review Criteria
Reviewers are asked to provide constructive and objective feedback focusing on:
- Originality and contribution to knowledge
- Theoretical framework and literature review
- Research methodology and data analysis
- Validity and reliability of results
- Clarity of discussion and conclusions
- Compliance with ethical standards
4. Editorial Decision
Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editor makes one of the following decisions: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject. The editorial decision is communicated to the author along with the reviewers’ comments.
5. Revision Process
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with reviewers’ and editors’ comments. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation if necessary.
6. Final Decision
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision regarding manuscript acceptance after all revisions have been satisfactorily completed. Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting and publication.
