Screaning Plagiarism

Journal of Business, Accounting and Information Technology (JBAIT) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. All manuscripts submitted to JBAIT are subject to plagiarism screening before the peer review process.

JBAIT uses plagiarism detection software to identify similarities between submitted manuscripts and existing published works. Manuscripts must demonstrate a high level of originality and proper citation of all sources. The journal applies the following similarity thresholds as part of its screening process:

  • Similarity index above 25%: The manuscript will be rejected due to excessive similarity.
  • Similarity index between 15% and 25%: The manuscript will be returned to the author for revision and clarification.
  • Similarity index below 15%: The manuscript is considered acceptable for further review.

Similarity results are evaluated carefully by the editorial team to distinguish between acceptable similarities (such as references, commonly used terms, and methodological descriptions) and unethical plagiarism.
